portraits of womenPOW started out as a dream photo session I wanted for myself.
As a business owner, mom, woman, and lover, I saw a need for a photo session that could empower me, and excite the parts of me that are soft, sensual, and strong.
The POW experience is meant to be simple, powerful, and accessible.
I considered your time, energy, and budget for this session.
This is a quality yet comfortable experience.

The Story
My favorite photos are in magazines and coffee table books where a person is either making a great connection with the camera or they look immersed in an experience.
I am especially inspired by photos of women that look comfortable, confident, sensual, and strong.
The POW was born from that space and it has morphed into the emPOWerment experience it is today. Through trial and error and glowing up, I have learned more about the POW.
Here are the lessons that guide me:
- The POW is an acceptance of who you are today and the belief that you are worthy of being seen.
- The POW is not about disguising, or changing, who you are. It is about EMBRACING where you are now and BELIEVING in tomorrow. That being said, TRANSFORMATION does usually occur.
- The POW allows you to emPOWer yourself on your personal journey of self awareness and self knowingness.
- The POW allows you to ELEVATE your business by showing the world through imagery what you are about.
- The POW is for the creatives, the brave, the imperfect, and the artist.

The POW.babe or POW.boss will occur at my studio in Cloudcroft, NM unless you choose to book the Location Session.
Studio Fuego is a shared space with Black Bear Coffee Roastery. We call it fuego because it brings the heat in more ways than one. This space has beautiful backdrops, gourmet lighting equipment and allows us to get a lot of variety and spice in your photo gallery.
The studio is private and available by appointment only.
Before the Session
After we chat on the phone and decide which session meets your needs at this time, you will fill out a questionnaire that will ask a few more questions that will help me customize your session even further. You will also pay the invoice upon booking your session.
In the days leading up to your session, you are going to do the things you need to do to prepare for your session. You are the only one that knows what those things are. I will send a few tips with your questionnaire that clients in the past have found helpful.
If you have questions or want my opinion on something, feel free to TEXT me. I do not answer phone calls unless they are scheduled or unless it is on your photo session day.
Two days before your photo session, I will check in via text and confirm your appointment and see if you have any last minute questions.
At the Session
The day of your session is going to be a fun one.
First, you will text me when you are heading to your appointment.
Then, you are going to climb some stairs.
YOU WILL SWEAT A LITTLE
YOUR LEGS WILL FEEL A LITTLE LIKE JELLO GOING UP THOSE STAIRS

It's OKAY.
That's how it goes for everyone.
You will enter the studio and we will lovingly hang up your clothes on a rack. We will chat about the plan and decide on the order of the outfits and the background options. You will check your makeup and your teeth in the mirror. If you need to touch anything up, no problem. You have the space to do that.
When you're ready, I will have you sit. Then I will direct you into some easy poses and after about 5 minutes, you will be a lot less nervous. In 10-15 minutes, you will start having fun. In 20 minutes, you will already know a lot about how to pose and move in front of the camera. In 30 minutes, you will consider a modeling career;)
After the Session
After the session, I will help you gather your things and I will walk you to your car. You will go home (or out on the town) and you will text your 2 best besties about how much fun you had.
You will eventually go back to life, but with an extra pep in your step. About 4-6 weeks after your photo session, I will send you the magical gallery link. You are going to find at least one photo you love and many people find 15-30 that they can't live without. Sometimes even more.
You are going to pick your favorite photos by selecting a heart icon on the image. It's so easy. Then, you will send me your final selections.
I will look at your favorite images and give them extra attention to get them ready for print and for social media sharing. This typically takes two weeks. I will also give black and white versions of most images you chose because I love black and white. I will create a whole new gallery for you with your final selections.
From your new gallery, you will be able to download your photos and order prints and wall art directly from my website store.
I recommend ordering prints right away because they often get forgotten in all the excitement and your kids and friends and family will be mad at you if you don't do this step.
You will put at least one of your photos in a frame on a wall or desk that you see everyday. You will remember that you are Amazing and Unique and Enough.
You will be so proud of yourself and you will own this part of your story.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
For a POW.babe it's just this simple; bring what makes you feel sexy. If you are unsure, a black body suit, an oversized sweater or button down shirt, and a little black dress or your favorite flowy dress works great every time!
For a POW.boss, we will discuss clothing options during our consultation. But in general, wear the clothes that represent you and your brand the best.
WILL PEOPLE SEE MY PHOTOS?
This is ENTIRELY up to you.
I respect each and everyone of you and your privacy requests.
We will discuss this at the end of your session to make sure we are on the same page about sharing ;)

WHAT IF I WANT OUTDOOR IMAGES?
If you want OUTSIDE of the Studio Photos, you must book the Location Session ($850).
If you book the Location Session, we can take photos in the studio AND outdoor in the beautiful forest of Cloudcroft, NM if you choose.
OR
We can take photos at YOUR Location. Whether that be your house or your office space. Let's talk.
WHEN IS THE INVOICE DUE?
The invoice is due at the time of booking unless you need a payment plan.
If you need a payment plan, please communicate this with me. I require a $50 minimum deposit to reserve your date and get you in my calendar. After that, I'm flexible and happy to work with everyone's budget.
Your photos will be released to you after your balance has been paid in full.
Cash and Credit are accepted.
How do i know if i'm ready?
Ask your bestie if they think you are ready to do this session. And then LISTEN to them when they tell you why you are SO worthy.
